The rain is sweeping through in heavy showers, just my luck with a trip to the doctors this morning. I manged to get there dry and my results were good. Blood pressure and cholesterol is fair but my BMI is still on the high side but improving. it is at 26 and should be under 25 still it's down from 28 six months ago. I need to lose 10lb but the weather has been so bad this year I have hardly been walking, still an Indian summer will see me to my target.
I watched a programme on the Tower of London last night, one of the presenters was a pleasant young girl, a historian who is so young looking she hasn't had time to have any history of her own. She presented all the facts in an interesting way but every time she was on camera my gaze was drawn to her nose. She had one of those studs sticking through it,to me a blemish on an otherwise pretty face. I never understood body piercing and you would never see anything more exotic than ears being done not many years ago.Still it takes all sorts as they say.
I have lunch here ready on my little table. I baked two chicken pasty type things yesterday so despite being told I need to lose more weight I am going to tuck into one. I didn't have any chicken stock left so used an oxo thickened with corn flower and it worked fine. Some folks are a bit sniffy about stock cubes but they are handy little things, I use them if I have no home made stock.
Right I'm off to tuck in catch you soon. Click photo for sizes
