Back on the steam driven desktop

I have the old desktop computer going again,my computer man came and sorted it this morning.
It is a slow as treacle on a winters day compared with the laptop but as it is only a back up that doesn't matter. It's running XP as well and in a short time I had forgotten the changes from it to 7 but it soon came back. I am on a test drive at the moment uploading programmes and up dating things,it's a good day to be messing because it is raining and windy here, no place for a walk even for an old grizzle chops like me. Always good to have old ones that work around as a sort of backup Mickey. I have several, the oldest being an ancient Olivetti running on Windows 98 SE.
I do have an older one but it does not work online,. No Windows because it did not exist, it runs on "DOS 3", not even MS DOS at that time. However I can write documents because I have installed "Word Perfect version 5.5" which is a pure DOS program.
It did not crash when we went into Year 2000 either because the
RAM saving had not been thought of at the time of Prodution.
It has two 10 MB Hard disks and 320 kB RAM and two of the large Paper floppy disk drives.

Oh damn, I've just remembered that I haven't rung Age Concern about my old computer!!! I did put it on a list and that list is in front of me, but I still forgot!!!!!!!! Glad it's working for you, but as you said, it's only for back-up.
