We have had a clear blue sky all day today but the wind has been as sharp as a scalpel.
Never the less I layered up for a walk this morning and got another 3 miles into these old legs. I need a good build up to the long walks I hope to take in the summer. The weather in the last 12 months has been dreadful so I never got much walking in. I had a nice lunch of egg and bacon flan before settling down to watch the egg chasers. It is the first weekend of the 6 nations internationals here and the curtain raiser was Ireland against Wales which Ireland won. England beat Scotland in the second match of the day with Italy taking on France tomorrow. Everybody has a soft spot for the Italians the are perennial underdogs who pull a surprise now and again by beating one of the other nations.
I had company for the first match,my son Stephen appeared. Grandson Carl was watching American football on TV and it drives Stephen nuts so he called round here to watch a proper game. Stephen is a good lad he let Carl watch the football even though he doesn't like it himself.
Now all is quiet and the day is getting cooler,we have rain and or snow flurries forecast overnight but tomorrow should be warmer reaching the giddy heights of the mid 40s,that's 8c in new money so I might be hitting the highways and byways again. Time to wash the dinner pots and pans and tidy the kitchen for a fresh start tomorrow. Just another peaceful day in paradise.
Have fun folks.

40 degrees! Halleluah! Ready for a swim??
I'm not a Fan of any Ball sports at all, in fact appart from Formula one there's very little TV time used here, perhaps the occasional Speedway W C or a few Sports Car races like the 24 Hours at Le Mans.
Dish washing is always nice when its done, I prefer to wash up as I go because cooking for ine makes use of the same amount as cooking for three or more.
Have a nice day, It's "Brass Monkey's here again"
