Snow Geese


When we visit the Skagit Valley in western Washington in the spring to see the tulip and daffodil fields, we also look for the flocks of Snow Geese that winter there. They form flocks of thousands of birds and the noise they make is deafening. We did not get to the Skagit Valley this year so these photos are from last year's visit.

Yes I can imagine the roar their wings alone would make not forgetting their calling to each other. Geese are very noisy birds at the best of times.
