"The Stones I Tread"

I do not know the stones I tread
In the wild path
But I know the direction I follow
I do not know where the valley drives me
In its troubled water
But I know it is into the sea
I do not know where the cry leads me
In its brief resonance
But I know it will echo in the mountains
I don' know who I am
I don't know how I got here
But I know I will dwell this ground
As the stars I tread.
///
Não sei as pedras que piso
Na vereda agreste
Mas sei o rumo que sigo
Não sei onde me leva o vale
Nas suas águas bravas
Mas sei que é para o mar
Não sei aonde me leva o grito
Na sua ressonância breve
Mas sei que ecoará nas montanhas
Não sei quem sou
Não sei como cheguei aqui
Mas sei que habitarei este chão
Como as pedras que piso.

sometimes a lonely path we tread
filled with stones along the way
we hope that we get well fed
what more can I say ;-)
a little drink would be so good
as we walk along life's path
sometimes there is sand in the shoes
and a little pebble or two . . .
kick off those shoes and paddle
in the water that's there 4 U ;-)
Armando Taborda club has replied to beverley"kick off my shoes" & kiss you
