YAWN

(it rains and I yawn)
light comes through my mouth
becomes night in the throat
and the stomach waits for its dilution
in the gastric leftover juice from dinner

I take a few steps to the window
I don't see anyone getting their feet wet
in the sidewalk pools
only a car that leaves a red stoplight
reflected in the avenue mirror

(it rains and I yawn)
my arms resting on the sofa
suddenly shake in a monumental cuff
in honour of the confined life

(it rains and I yawn)
afterwards
I fall asleep

BOCEJO

(chove e eu bocejo)
entra-me luz pela boca
faz-se noite na garganta
e o estômago espera que ela se dilua
no suco gástrico que sobra do jantar

(chove e eu bocejo)
dou uns passos até à janela
não vejo ninguém a molhar os pés
nos charcos da calçada
só um carro que deixa um stop vermelho
reflectido no espelho da avenida

(chove e eu bocejo)
meus braços descansados no sofá
súbito agitam-se num monumental manguito
em honra da vida confinada

(chove e eu bocejo)
a seguir
adormeço
