ROYAL TREASURE MUSEUM, Ajuda National Palace
One of the biggest vaults in the world, built in the recently completed west wing of the palace (226 years after its inception), houses and protects the royal treasure against all risks. The treasure itself - partially or totally destroyed by the 1755 earthquake, by fire, and by a few jewel sales to repay the royal house's debts -, although with pieces of tremendous beauty and value, it's not very opulent, however, it's perfectly organized.
