Cinque Terre

Hiking in the Cinque Terre
on foot on the trails of the Cinque Terre and explore this beautiful area from La Spezia to Levanto. .
Cinque Terre ( Five Lands or Five Villages) is the name given to an approximately twelve kilometer long, climatically favorable coastal strip on the Italian Riviera between Punta Mesco and Punta di Montenero northwest of La Spezia in Liguria. From northwest to southeast, the five villages of Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore line up along the steeply sloping coast.
The region has about 7000 inhabitants and is protected as a national park where no construction or alteration is allowed. In 1997, the Cinque Terre was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
