Shunting in Darling Harbour in 1970 was largely done by steam locos. The nearer loco is a type first introduced in 1877 and a few saw continuous service until the end of steam in late 1972. This is a crop. Mouse over the note to see entire image. Sometime in 1970.

Thanks Nicolas, I prefer it without, but it was there, probably waiting for a train to be assembled. It was a new mainline type back then.
