Capela de D.Sebastião

The chapel of São Sebastião is located in Ericeira, Mafra, next to the beaches of Algodio de S.Seabastião
A small chapel with a hexagonal plan, it was built in the 17th century on the site where a ruined building with the same function already existed and possibly dated to the 15th century. Some authors still refer to the thirteenth century as a probable date of the original construction of the building, without however there is evidence of this claim. Mostly Mannerist in construction, its interior is entirely covered with tiles.
