Ich freue mich schon auf Mai- HFF, Lutz!
Den Blog habe ich auch gelesen- klingt für mich, als ob sie grade mal die Cloud zahlen können und sich in der Freizeit um den Rest kümmern:-( Ich war aber gestern wieder "drüben" und nur genervt von der Baustelle. Außerdem sehe ich da bei manchen dauernd Links zur FB-Gruppe- scheint, dass die da mehr machen als auf Pano...

Geht mir auch immer so, wenn ich drüben bin. Außerdm nerven mich da meine vielen schlechten Fotos ;-). FB ist definitiv keine Alternative für mich, auch wenn ich da einen schlafenden account habe. Aber stimmt wohl, ich bekomme da dauernd Statusmails wer nun gerade wieder was gepostet hat usw.

Auch in den Pano-Kommentaren wird immer wieder auf FB verlinkt.... Hoffen wir das Beste für hier! Mein "club" geht noch bis Ende des Jahres.

Well, I kind of found the picture there a little pessimistic, saying: "One more year". Like after one year it may end... =/

But I also seriously started to plan giving Club membership as a gift to any who really wants it. I even got a crazy idea to put up a group where every one would run a competition, and the picture that gets most faves would win, and winner gets 3 months Club membership... =D

Hi Sami, that is a good Idea. I am willing to sponsor one club membership. Why don't you just go ahead and set up the group.

I'll give it a thought during this weekend. There are several things to consider:

1) Date when picture taken (how to verify?)

2) Only those accepted who does not have Club-membership, or all. Someone who's membership is soon ending may also want to participate.

3) There is a tendency of popular photographers becoming even more popular, no matter what they upload. What I mean, some others may become ignored even if they would deserve the acknowledgement. I don't say people can't judge. Of course they can. But sometimes they may let the popularity affect on their judgment, or give votes to those who they know or are their friends.

4) Or should only sponsors be the judge? This could be a group maintained by those who are willing to sponsor others.

And what comes to issue #3, I suppose competition pictures could not participate/contribute any other group during the contest. Otherwise they get votes also from other contexts. OR should it be okay...? So many things to consider.
