good luck there -- I made the opposite move.

The ads embedded in flickr-streams became too intrusive -- I can accept the upper-right ads.
Instead of seeing my my next page, flickr redirected visitors to a look-alike page and had an ad in place of the picture. Very intrusive and that did it for me. If you pay them, you don't see that issue -- your friends who don't pay will be bothered.

PS : I very much like ipernity's ARTICLES feature -- flickr lacks that.
flickr also trims the size of comments & descriptions to fit a small phone-screen -- you need to unfold things. Even on a PC. Annoying.

Ad blockers are free add ons for every browser. I havent seen an ad on any site in years !
