I've never heard of this plant before, so I had to do a bit of googling to work out what your perspective was in this image! Very cleverly composed and taken Laura!

thank you! did you find some good information? they are amazing plants. they are living fossils - having been around for 100 million years!!!! it never occurred to me that they weren't prevalent in England. this is from my hike, but i grew up in a fir forest and they were always around.

There are some in the UK, but mainly it is considered to be a weed, apparently it spreads very aggressively and is difficult to kill.

I don't know if anyone here plants it - I have only ever noticed it in the woods. I think it's aggressive nature is probably what has kept it alive over the millennia! I always love it - it could fill my whole yard, i'd be fine.
