This is just 10 shot each filter Ha, Sii Oiii not even RGB stars this was shot in cloud breaks to check. The clarity of the shot is staggering. this is not a stack of 120 shots each filter.
I brought the whole scope in cleaned all the mirrors and filter's went through the process to rebuild the whole lot again. This is a few hours work cleaning the rebuilding the telescope back to how it should be ready to take a photo.
18 months of dust build up on the mirror in hind sight better to have a 6 month plan... This is very much part of this telescope they work well but the main mirror is very much open to the dust and falling objects. I was able to put the vacuum extension down the tube and remove the dead mosquito on the mirror.
15 min cleaning with soap and water cleaning getting finer and finer.
I also to the opportunity to clean out the tube as well blow out and the dust that has built up with in the light baffle's in the telescope. Plenty of dust came out .
I can only see a clean image none of the circles in the first shot as I am in clouds and rain I have not got much chance to sets out. I have yet to test out LRGB but i have to wait for a night I can shoot a few of each filter then stack. Then its a case of see the result but things are looking very hopeful so far. The test dummy is the Running Chicken just how it came out, did not line up. I put it together as Hubble with very little editing was interested to see if the faults where still there or not. thankfully not.

This Female( she smaller than the other male) has made her self part of our family( and her more shy boyfriend). If Clara or myself are out side she comes around our feet. Of late I have been moving a few bricks and plates so the crickets come into view. Then its on for young and old just how many she can get I throw a few bigger ones behind me so the boyfriend gets a few as well.
This day I just sat down and was pruning a bonsai Casuarina tree she wanted some of the action as well thinking the small pruning's where crickets fall on the bottom of the tree. She made a whole lot of noise , not happy no food in the end she went to my knee , up my arm, on my hand that held the phone then on top of the phone and in the end on top of my head trying to pull out hair I could see her in the window next to me.....................
one thing I have noticed she and the boyfriend when they first get together or talk to each other the white slit above the eyes widens to about 5 time what you see in this shot. You can always tell they are together the noise the two put up chittering to each other. These two have made them selves at home at our house for the last two months, the crickets are taking a big hit back or front of the house.
I really is a case of look at your feet she is that close.

This a very small nebula halfway between the two pointers in the shot below.
RCW85 Is the small white part a reflection nebula at the top of the Nebula.
Even though is not time to do RGB shots I am none the less trying to take as many as I can of all filters so I can see if the filter wheel defect goes away.

IF you look at the shot you can see two Filter wheels one Big One small and the sitting filters. From what I have read this occurs where the filter wheel travels both ways while it is taking the shots.
I did find an update that stops the filter wheel traveling both directions now only travels one way.
So now this has been set up I am trying to take as many shots RGB as I can to check not a shot to post but one I can look at. I hope it works as some of space has to be shot LRGB not Narrow Band.
If is no solved a lot of shots will no be taken in pure colour. If it does not go away Narrow Band doses not seem to show the Defect on LRGB.

This is a True colour photo with filters so it has to be taken the same a a coloured DSLR MOON free. So you are shooting bit before and after new moon. This really is my first using all 4 filters Lum, Red, Green, Blue but if you look closely you will see 4 circles 1 top left and 1 bottom right and two very large ones in the main part of the photo.
At this stage I dont know where its coming from I have taken 3 sets of flats ( which remove these) but they are still here. On a hunch I re looked at the filters in the wheel to see if I did put them in back to front, sad to say they are correct so I still dont have a clue.
Filters
1 Lum 2 Red 3 Green 4Blue 5 Sii 6 Ha 7 Oiii
I am wondering if this is stray light from a street light and I have to put the hood on the telescope. I have to wait for next months moon free to try again Put my thoughts to the test.
You are looking not at nebulas but dusty parts of space you have to capture LRGB nothing here for narrow band. Mostly away from the milky way you see these areas of Dust. Not only is it a different way of taking the photo the editing is so very different as well to NB Things dont always go to plan some times things are hard fought.

Starless "Trump Nebula"?
|
|
|
|
Its not till the first mornings edit that I saw there is more to this part of the sky than we realize. The more I looked at the shot and after putting it in a vertical format it stood out a mile. You can make out "Trumps" Hair, nose, mouth, chin in profile. What I find even more interesting we can even see it was predicted that his right ear would be bloodied. I did not want to spend too much time on this in case it raise tariffs that I did not know about, dare I say "Trump" Nebula. What really shows it up is the Starless version. I am constantly Amazed by what comes out of looking out into space who would have thought this.
Carina Nebula Side

This started as a simple project in the shot below you can see the area of the photo to the right of the main Carina Nebula. This part is not very often a target as the main nebula is the more famous part so it captures the lime light. it was easy for me to take the photo as I was able to rotate the main part out of the picture.

This was put together in the Hubble pallet but using the Foraxx pallet version which removes the excess green and you get a more pleasant looking set of colours. I like this time of year as the nights are getting longer and you get more shot in a night.

RCW 74 Dark Nebulas

How do I write this up. I saw an interesting shape inside the Coal Sack and one Nebula RCW 74 ,So what do I get what will it look like. This came out nothing like I expected I thought I was going to get a B/W over all image but a bright nebula at the bottom. This was rotated but the focuser body hit the scope base plate so I just went with what I had rather than full proper rotation.
You can imagine my very first morning of data and seeing all this colour I thought what went wrong. None the less I kept on going what I get is what I get. This started out as Ha Sii Oiii but Oiii was a blank shot of stars. This is stacked Foraxx Ha Sii this has blown me away, There is colour in space where you least expect it.
You cant miss the shape Right side middle in the Coal Sack.

No Water No birds.

This is the effect of our long very hot summer, Bibra lake is dry and a grassy plain. The lake is big but even in winter it may not be much more that 600mm deep out there but its full of birds. I carried camera and big lens down the track to the two hides dry land no water.
In total disgust I did not change the 600mm lens on the camera i just put it back in the bag and took the shot with the phone (Green). The sun rise shot is on a full lake not a dry bed with a Nikon camera and tripod..

This is the path that lead to one of the bird Hides . Its getting a bit close a 6'3" in spots but the birds cant see you coming.

The Filaments was formed by the Super Nova explosion the remnants of that explosion. Even the pencil nebula is a part of the explosion.
This is a very small part of the whole area as its end of season for this part of the sky no way I could do a whole panorama. The Blue is Oxygen that in the two shots above you can see as white Filaments. What you are looking at is in the bottom wide field of the area just below the large Left big nebula you can see just below but this shot is rotated. This whole area has some great targets for next year, this was some thing I was looking forward to being able to do with the filters as I knew the blue stood out.

This is the bigger of the Lakes I walk around in South lake. This shot is from phone from the bridge that is across so the high school student can walk to school. Around the lake there is a lot of birds and wild life. The PiP shows where the burnt out area is on the other side not lake side.
rewildperth.com.au/resource/quenda
There are quite a few new babies as I walk around I walk the far side of the Path and they stay eating the grass but they dont like dogs.
I have carried D810 and 600mm lens but there is never one around so I have given up.

RCW38 With ASP-C enjoy this as large as you can.

Same Telescope but very different views due to the sensor size used, also this is shot with Antlia Filters not the ZWO filters the other was shot with. RCW38 is a very small part of the Vela Region.
RCW 38 in the shot above is lower left side you can make out the three Reddish dots next to the darker area. This was shot over 7 night to amass a total of 32 hours total time. As the was not so much oxygen in this area Blue 120 shots, I shot more Ha Red as there was far more data in that filter 200 shots and S had also a lot of data so shot 170 Red .
My next target will be interesting I will be doing a rotated shot of the blue filament which is the left over from the explosion. Look at the large round nebula top left just below that you can make out Blue filaments just to the left of the red area.
