A whole lot of texture, patterning, and filtering here, but very few objects, for a change. When the stores are all out of Halloween candy, so you have to give out hunks of raw meat instead. You also must accept the fact that the neighbors will give you weird looks every day for the next year when you pass on the street. Happy Saturday! (Or Sunday, depending on where you are.) That floral shape is the same one as in this year's "Space Spider", but heavily filtered and recolored. After its transformation, it made me think of candy corn. Hence the title and the kids' Western motif. Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoyed making it. Song reference , give or take a spelling change. :D The accidental candy corn via filtration has happened before. Here , for instance. But that always was a favorite Halloween treat for me. Another small group graduates to its own album today!! :) The music I listened to while putting this together was actually a modern group from Northern Nigeria: Etran de L'Air. Of course, multiple Jazz artists toured the world in the 20th Century and heard music from all over Africa. Then they brought what they learned back home. Had we not lost Parker so soon, perhaps he would have done so as well. The text is Bill Miner's, from the back of Savoy's 1977 reissue LP of 1949's "Charlie Parker: Live At The Royal Roost."
