My taste in chunky jewellery is becoming a problem. Ran the Glasgow Great Scottish Run in 1 hr 55 mins 38 secs Sunday 7th September 2008 - 13 miles. Thanks to all my sponsors - I raised over £300 for Alzheimer Scotland.
Platform 11a sunset Glasgow Central

This is the 3rd scottish sunset of the year. Sunshine is in short supply this year though tonight was sunny and warm and the sunset was a fiery one with streams of gold and ochre blazing a trail in the sky. The lovely sprint down to platform 11a (the most ridiculous station platform ever) was worth it. 4th September 2008 8pm

February 18th 2008 beneath the south peak of the Cobbler around 5pm looking west towards Beinn an Lochan. A wonderful day on one of Scotland's best mountains with not a little excitement. My bonny climbing buddy rivals the views!

Dad and 2 sons took advantage of freshly fallen snow on 4th January 2008 to take in the sights around Barnbeth near Bridge Of Weir. Dad and Stu enjoy a rare opportunity together.

Moon shadow

Despite a rainy night in Scotland, the clouds cleared long enough to see the eclipse begin and enter totality. This was about 10:30pm.

I thought a funny shaped football had been kicked at my kitchen window. Then I saw it had a beak.
Love Fungi

Taken on February 12th 2007 - YES, I know I'm a bit late! Bridge Of Weir, Scotland.
This is a fungus called Sarcoscypha coccinea "fungus found occasionally in moist forests of the Pacific northwest" - looks like this one is a long way from home!

On the path up the Cobbler from Arrochar grow a number of these Blackthorn trees (prunus spinosa) producing sloes in the Autumn. Not something I'd like to fall into while coming down the path in the dark. Scotland December 2006.
