Der amüsierte Herr halblinks ist der in Taiwan sehr bekannte Regisseur Kan Ping Yu. Sein Hauptwerk ist der Film "Papa, can you hear me sing?" aus 1983. Unsere Gastgeber versicherten uns mehrfach, dass dieser Film für sie eine wichtige Jugenderinnerung sei.
