I had this Joey Harrison photo in mind when I framed this shot. They're quite different, but they've a lot in common. Call it a tribute; Joey's one of my favorite Flickr'rs.
A year ago today I spent a half-hour wandering around downtown Grand Ledge with my V1. By the time I left I'd captured 60 images, most of which I'd be willing to publish.
I'd been using the new Nikon enough by this time that I was pretty comfortable with it--indeed, I'd largely settled on a standard camera setup by this point--but hadn't really used it away from the village (ignoring a few ballgames). That was changing.
Dimondale, Portland, and Grand Ledge all have main streets named Bridge Street, all named for bridges across the Grand River. I've posted 366 Snaps outtakes from all three within the past week....
==========
The day's 366 Snaps photo (see below) was of a rest area in the riverside walk on the Opera House grounds. I'd photographed it from ground level on a previous GL excursion, but this overhead view makes a far better image.
==========
This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps.
Number of project photos taken: 60
Title of "roll:" Grand Ledge
Other photos taken on 7/3/2012: The Daily Flower Census--taken in late afternoon with (again) the V1--was just glorious.
