How did you try to upload the photo? Did you use the app or the mobile website m.ipernity.com? I can reproduce that there is a problem with m.ipernity.com. I couldn't upload a photo with a size of 2.9 Mb and got an error message indicating that it was too big. I could upload a smaller image.

I think that this needs to be investigated. As a workaround: You can try to upload the photo using the desktop website of ipernity (www.ipernity.com) in the browser on your mobile phone. That workes for me. If the browser on your mobile phone automatically shows the mobile page when you try to display the desktop-website you probably can force the browser to show the Desktop-website by choosing "desktopwebsite" or something similar from the browser menu (three-dots-menu on the upper right). After choosing this menu-item it might be necessary to enter www.ipernity.com again to get to the desktop-website from which you should be able to upload photos like on a desktop PC.

There is also another workaround you can try as long as the problem is investigated:

It is possible to upload photos by email. While logged into your ipernity account go to: www.ipernity.com/pref/mailpost
There you will find what email address (specific for your account) to send the photos to that you wish to upload.
